Reviews
“
Of 'Girl in The Box'
"There's a very charming and naive quality to Alice and the relationships she has are moving, funny and heartfelt. I thought that you evoked what it is like at that awkward, difficult age with ease (which is no mean feat). You write with confidence and eloquence and I think this feels commercially appealing."

Of The original screenplay 'Flow'
"I like it"

"An extremely authoritative writing voice, a writer who understands what they are doing with a beautiful eye for detail."

About

Born in the shadow of Old Trafford, I hold my Northern heritage close. I drifted South with formative years near Birmingham and bounced back for student life and work in Liverpool. I now live near London. Inspired by generations of family anecdotalists, I've been writing stories since I could hold a crayon. I've published nearly thirty memoirs as a ghost writer, but you won't see my name on them! I won the Wasafiri International Life Writing Prize in 2017 which led to mentorship on Chapter and Verse from The Literary Consultancy,to develop Girl in the Mirror
I've read my short stories with The Word Factory and Birbeck in London, have an MA in Creative Writing and Children’s Literature from Birkbeck and am a member of SCBWI, writing for Words and Pictures. I was 2018 Writer in Residence at the remarkable Talliston House, have written feature articles for local magazines and national websites, screenplays and a creative non-fiction book inspired by the women's group - She Who Dares.
I've been a qualified primary teacher for over twenty-five years and now tutor and work with local community organisations.
